Poison by ingestion, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, intravenous, and intramuscular routes. An experimental teratogen. Human systemic effects by ingestion: thrombocytopenia. Experimental reproductive effects. Mutation data reported. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of NO_x, SO_x, and HCl.
