Poison by ingestion, intravenous, and possibly other routes. Questionable carcinogen with experimental tumorigenic data. Many nitrosamine compounds are carcinogens. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of Cl− and NOx. See also NITROSAMINES.
